The National League sends 24 1st-timers to the All-Star Game (the two leagues combined sent 45 new faces to the game). The Traverse City Panthers and Urbana Locomotives do role reversals, as the Panthers last season only had one All-Star (now have 6), while Urbana sent a bundle to the game last season, only has Adrian Beltre going to the "Midsummer Classic". Clayton Kershaw and Anibal Sanchez are the only pitchers returning to the game, while four players returning to the All-Star game will be in the starting lineup -- 3 of those 4 players will be starting for the second straight season.
